I would have plastered scans of my pink identity card all over this post, if not for the fact half my readers probably wouldn't know why I'm doing it and the other one quarter ( the people who haven't orded) baying for my blood. Feels good though^^.

Timing matters. A lot.
Humans are unpredictable, and this makes things doubly hard.
I'm caught up in a paradox, and must tread with extreme caution.

It's finally over.....

Ah I can finally heave a sigh of relief now that I'm comfortably ensconced on my chair and typing this entry. However I didn't escape unscathed from 2 weeks of duty at Jurong Island, where all the (extra) heavy industries are located lol. For the first time you actually realize that organic compounds don't actually smell that nice. Well well a visit to the doc's should clear things up literally=).
The last week approaches and it seemed kinda surreal when PS Sitha announced that me, together with yl would be getting our pink IC on friday. I sure hope the battalion doesn't screw up again and give me some crap like oh we're still in the process of retrieving your IC from the central store. What an eventful year in Guards ><.

Slp.

I've tried my best =X

This year's MAF was great! The ambient lighting, together with the floating dragon and the overhanging web all contributed to turn the usual dull school atmosphere into a dreamy and relaxing one. It was really nice to see almost all the classmates turn up again, and to talk to them. Somehow I really felt at home; perhaps I missed the feeling of togetherness in school where we could just talk cock and sing song daily without much serious repercussions if work wasn't done lol.

Till next year then.

Reader beware!

Readers please be aware of password phishing! Case in point: I clicked on a friendster profile just now and was redirected to an identical friendster page requesting me to login again, BUT on a casual examination of the URL (because I had logged in and was wondering why I had to again), I realized it read "xfriendster.awardspace.com". WTH! For people in a rush who don't bother to check the URL their login details would be forwarded to the cunning person! Imagine the damage someone could do if they accessed your friendster account, or any other accounts on other sites, such as Hotmail or even banking websites. Just do a quick casual check of the page URL to ensure it's legitimate!

Being the procrastinator that I am, it's only now that I've begun clearing up my hotmail inbox lol ( there still remains a grand total of 600 over undeleted mails -_-). But as I was deleting those irrelevant stuff from MSN and co, I couldn't help but read through past mails, some dating back all the way to J1. I saw numerous emails related to the Music of the Night (yes people still remember this?!) and looking back, we really had one heck of a time! Rehearsals, meetings that lasted late into the night and arguments. Indeed there were times when we all felt like giving up but somehow we just motivated each other through ( saw this email from kailing saying it's either we don't look back and do it or give up now ) =D. Things are really different now that I'm revisiting it almost 3 years later. Then I stumbled onto this email regarding some farewell dinner for the guys going into NS at Chomp Chomp. That could be said to be our last true class gathering =X. And here we are, almost 2 years later and ORDing soon! Perhaps we should have a ORD dinner HAHA. Though we all may have gone our separate ways now and found new friends, the 7B spirit still lives strong in each and everyone of us! There is and will only be one class of people that can truly call themselves 04s7Bians. Meet up soon for MAf yeah?

In other unrelated matters.....I dare not be hopeful but at the same time the optimist in me reminds me that it may still be possible, after all =)

Jenny

She calls me baby, then she won't call me.
Says she adores me and then ignores me.
Jenny, what's the problem?
She keeps her distance and sits on fences.
Puts up resistance and builds defenses.

Jenny, what's the problem?
You leave me hanging on the line.
Every time you change your mind.

First You say you won't, then you say you will.
You keep me hanging on, and we're not moving on.
I"m standing still, Jenny. You got me on my knees.
Jenny, it's killing me.

She needs her own space. She's playing mind games.
Ends up at my place saying that she's changed.
Jenny, what's the problem?
I'm trying to read between the lines.
You got me going out of my mind.

First, you say you won't, then you say you will.
You keep me hanging on, and we're not moving on.
I'm standing still, Jenny. You got me on my knees.
Jenny, it's killing me. It's killing me. It's killing me.
Jenny.

First, you say you won't, then you say you will.
You keep me hanging on, and we're not moving on.
I'm standing still, Jenny. You got me on my knees.
Jenny.

First, you say you won't, then you say you will.
You keep me hanging on, and we're not moving on.
I'm standing still, Jenny. You got me on my knees.
Jenny. It's killing me. It's killing me. Jenny.

Eleven more weeks! Strangely though, income's gonna be a tough problem after I ORD. LOL what an ironic thought. Must banish from mind. Everything will be *almost* over on Sept 1. Shall look forward to that then!
And the Secret is such a nice show!

Lol something *interesting*.

At last! A 7B outing haha.. this time back to where we went for our first outing--Sentosa! The place has really changed a lot I must admit, what with the new monorail from Vivocity, Cafe del Mar and the numerous new attractions on the Island. It's starting to attract people again haha. The turn out wasn't that great though but it sure brought back memories! To that we still take the effort to meet up even though it was been almost 3 years since J1. Way to go man =D..Go back again someday! =)

US!

Mmzz ;)

Ideal ideas

A million thoughts run through my head. I'm preoccupied with the same issue all the time. I refuse to heed myself and I chide myself for not being true in the past. It's something that I can't really forgive myself for. I've been at the crossroads for more than a year now, and there'll be no going back once I've chosen. I'll make a decision in the end but till then, I still remain in solitude. I'm proving myself to myself but will it be too late by then? If only things were simple. If only humans were simple.

Lol after a heated discussion online with many "constructive" inputs from YC, we finally settled on Dining Sun at CHIJMES, this interesting jap restaurant that both Glen and I stumbled on online haha. Lo and behold, their Chef's special was priced at 150$-_- Lol but after flipping through the menu, we found some nice treats at the back and in the end settled on baked chicken rice sets, salmon steak and a beef rice set. The dish was served in a nifty device that even came with an hourglass to tell you when was the right time to open haha. Not bad a meal for the price and I wouldn't mind going again ^^
Time to book in soon for guard duty ><

Resolutions for 2007 (or what's left of it!)

Haha, it took four months for me to finally get into the I-desperately-need-an-overhaul-in-my-life mood. I don't know what hit me, but something definitely has gotten me going! Perhaps it's the suspicious 20-somethings lol. Ok here goes:

1) Reduce self afflicted stress by 80% and take things easy. Simple phrases that convey a whole lot deeper meaning. Easier said than done. So on and so forth. Lol. I know myself as someone who panics easily and gets anxious over the slightest hint of a problem. More oft than not, I see too far into the "bleak" future and all sorts of negative possibilities start popping up. And that's a major causative factor! The second major factor is my tendency to bear grudges against people, or rahter their actions. I can easily forget the good that someone has done for me but I'll definitely remember the bad. It'll take time, but I'm putting in the effort to change haha. Man is innately flawed after all. One of my friends remarked that the fear of getting bad karma keeps him in line. I simply refuse to let an external belief control me. Everything has to come from within.

2) Sleep more. Yes there is certainly no scientific doubt that sleeping confers numerous benefits on the mind and body...

3) Fiscal prudence! And I cannot stress that more. It does take a lot to run a family in Singapore, but in the short term, there are driving lessons to be paid for, for instance. Then there are varsity fees. Hmmmm

4) Make more friends. Haha I realise that I'm awfully short of contacts when the weekend arrives. Or rather I keep seeing the same people every week ><. No offense, but life demands variety ^^, though I'm not opposed to seeing the same people but doing different stuff. Going about doing it, now that's the hard part. Short of joining the bleargh SDU, perhaps I can hook up with tj's blading friends or simply take up some enrichment classes lol.

5) What's next?

Book in -_-

Sunday, April 08, 2007

Maybe I tend to be pessimist, but things just don't work out right for me most of the time. Take last week's guard duty. It was supposed to be a simple 24 hr duty but look at the issues that cropped up. A case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time? I'm definitely sure though that my men won't do me in. Darn reviewing the so-called evidence on Monday. I dread Mondays.

April Fool?

Check this out: http://www.google.com/tisp/install.html

Hrm! Highly suspicious joke by Google lol. Flushing down your internet connection cable which is then retrieved by engineers and plugged into the main pipeline?? Sounds so *lame*. lol.
Ah! This long week is finally over. I booked out from guard duty only in the morning la. Strangely I don't feel anything special. What makes a day special then? Because the calender says so? Maybe it's up to oneself to make it so. Lol.

Sunday, March 25, 2007

Some people are selfish and self-serving. Backstabbers extraordinaires. I spit on them and their kind.

Bah.

Sunday, March 04, 2007

I took a walk after dinner just now from PS all the way to City Hall. Surprisingly one can find much peacefulness and serenity in the middle of the city, if only one knew how to walk. Seeing people consume their late night meals in restaurants, yet not hearing them; passing by SMU, bathed in the warm glow from the streetlamps, and the eerie feeling of being under the WWII memorial. Contrast this then with the live band at the Esplanade and the Chinese cultural performances at the River Hong Bao. Just the right mix one needs for a post dinner stroll. I found it weird though that the old city hall was illuminated from head to toe in red lights. Maybe because red is considered to be auspicious? Lol. But it was a nice walk nonetheless.

If you were falling, then I would catch you.

You need a light, I'd find a match.

Cuz I love the way you say good morning.
And you take me the way I am.

If you are chilly, here take my sweater.
Your head is aching, I'll make it better.

Cuz I love the way you call me baby.
And you take me the way I am.

I'd buy you Rogaine if you start losing all your hair.
Sew on patches to all you tear.

Cuz I love you more than I could ever promise.
And you take me the way I am.
You take me the way I am.
You take me the way I am.

Quotable quotes

"We should feature more bitter stuff in our lives, starting with food."

"This meal just upped my util level to 15 from a low of 5!"

"How will K** ***G survive during winter?!"

"This weird tasting sweet and sour noodle just caused me to have 0 util!"

"Sorry our wonderful bubble tea shop only serves milk tea now ><"

"Why did we walk 3 bus stops back to board the bus after blading/cycling for over 12km?"

"Huckleberry Finn is related to...Oliver Twist?!"

and

"Where are my biscuits!!!?!"

XD

Monday, January 29, 2007

Haha 2 weeks. Just 2 weeks and it's over, well at least for Feb. It's just too bad that I've got to miss the upcoming dinner, but it's better to count one's blessings than to seek after what one does not have. LOL. I've some interesting plans for CNY though. Haha will they come to fruition? I shall see. In the meantime, have fun guys! =D

bleah....

Saturday, January 06, 2007

Yeah, it's innate in the male psyche to win at anything and everything. It's what preseves the dominance of the species over others. But resorting to underhand methods to win at a *blinks* game? *Sheesh*. I'm not angry, but sometimes patience has its limits.

The Year in Retrospect!

As the year draws to an end I can't help but think about what 2007 will herald. There'll definitely be more challenges to face and conquer, and it's not necessarily limited to NS. It all boils down to the strength of the mind to rationalise matters, to rescue one from self perdition when one is mired in a helpless situation(s). I've been finding myself in more and more of such situations these days and it's taking a toll on me just to stop harping on it.

Sometimes I realise I'm foolish and I'm at fault though. For instance, I realise more and more that I'm talking to my parents for the sake of talking to them, because I don't see them most of the time and that's why I need to make up for lost time. But where's the purpose in that? Often, the week passes in a blur and there's an urge to spend the book out with friends, leaving scraps of time for my parents.
And in another unrelated matter, I just can't stop chastising myself for that one particular time recently when I said No, or rather implied the negative. Sigh. It still pains me to even think about it.

On a lighter note, some of my sec sch friends may actually go backpacking in Europe sometime next year(and they'd better call me along!)! And how I wish that I can one day lazily lie on a verdant knoll and imagine Pooh or dragons or whatever comes to mind out of slow moving fluffy clouds hanging low in the blue expanse of the sky,as far as the eye can see, while a gentle breeze brings on the scent of flowers in bloom. Perhaps then, perhaps. And with someone in mind.

Saturday, December 30, 2006

Haha what a delightful outing to mark the end of the year. Nice seeing all the old familiar faces again. XD

Monday, December 18, 2006

If wishes were fishes we'd all cast nets.

I'd have many nets to cast.
Tis the time of the year to be merry again! Or so we are expected to be ;). Well well, the year's drawing to an end and it's time to do the annual stocktake (this shall take a while though, and I'll finish around x'mas or so). The break's finally materialising and aside from the tuesday duty, I get more than a week off! Things that sound good can be true ;). 20% of the time? Hmm.

Thursday, November 16, 2006

Haha so it's back to the same routine in Singapore again. Shan't talk too much Brunei cos there isn't much to talk about except that it s***ed real bad. Haha this is something that only fellow sufferers will understand XD. Let's hear it from glendon and eugene then! Looking forward to the next break again. Sometime around christmas? If things turn out well I'll get 1 week off. Haha =)

Thursday, October 26, 2006

Boo!

Finally, 'tis the end of the block leave and I'm flying off tonight.. Haha all the best to those who are prepping for their exams! Will be back on the 13th of Nov. I can be reached at 90431693. Take care pple =D

Freedom is so...elusive

Sunday, October 22, 2006

Ah it's been some time. How has life been? Quite fine, thank you, notwithstanding the pitfalls along the way, ridiculous policies and the upcoming trip to brunei. The previous weeks were hectic, and everyday started at dawn and didn't end until midnight. So, you must be really glad for the one week break? Yeah you bet! It's my first block leave since the one I had in ASLC back in June. This break gave me the much needed time to explore the country, to buy stuff and of course to simply relax at home without counting down the minutes to book in. But why do are you still so sian? Hmm why... Because I saw a Gem in the jewellery store and not only did I not have the wherewithal to make the purchase, the salesman declared me not suitable enough to match the near flawlessness and beauty of it! Though he didn't voice out these thoughts, they were immediately apparent from the way he informed the others of their unsuitability and shortcomings.
Sigh

Sunday, September 17, 2006

Hmm yest we finally tried the sushi sashimi buffet haha. Let's see. We ordered about 22 plates of salmon sashimi! Gosh I bet Yc's gonna be a salmon in his next life and end up on the plate ><. But it was money well spent man. We went to catch the Banquet later, much to the disgust of yc, who insisted on watching haunted apartments but sadly it was 3 to 1. Lolz I don't know what to say of the show man. The ending could be said as abrupt, but it provided closure and continuation at the same time. Hmm. I can relate better to the sets and fight scenes la. Hahaha. Onwards to MAF!

Tuesday, September 12, 2006

Haha everyone rants a bit in their life =P.These 2 weeks' gonna be the best in my ns tour man, what with daily nights out lolz. Shall enjoy. Even Yc goes for nights out with me. haha..

Graduation!

Platoon 1! Ah the feeling of graduation felt good. No more inefficiency and pathetic instructions! I hardly miss this place, but I'll certainly miss the people that made platoon 1 so memorable, especially Weijie, my buddy. I'll miss those times that we chionged together, be it in Tekong, Mandai or Qi Xing Li. When we're just so tired and on the verge of breaking, it's always the fact that we're looking out for each other that we strive on. Even as I move onto the next phase of my ns life, I'll never forget those times. There'll be more challenges to face in future, and I sincerely pray that the people I meet are, well, nice. ;) Posted by Picasa

"Huang Ying Guang Ling!"
Ah, I'll so miss this familiar phrase that greeted me whenever we stepped into any shop in Taipei, and by that I mean ANY. I wonder if the shopkeepers went for some standardisation course or something but the twang to it is hilarious. I had quite a nice time irritating my buddy on the flight home lol. Anyway back to the 21 day trip. What have I to say? One of the shittiest navigation exercise which saw us being bogged down in mud, and scalling practically every hill that we saw, all of which made our dear Bt. Timah a molehill in comparison. Lol then came the 8 day ex. warrior. More mud! Mud mud and more mud! The daily showers turned the entire forest floor into a quagmire, and walking was a terrible chore. It didn't help that our shelters were perched on a hill. That certainly taught us how to appreciate concrete more ><

Ah ok skip the unpleasant memories and onwards to R&R! It simply amazes me as to how many movies I caught on the bus. The theme parks that we visited were simply exhilarating, especially the 100m free fall and the Mayan adventure. And the shopping was great. Together with RJ boy we invaded the streets of Ximen and Shilin and bought back more than a few trophies *grinz*. Then there's always the food, and I particularly enjoy eating mee sua on the streets of ximen while standing. Not bad. I wouldn't mind going back again man XD. Ok now some of the things that I learnt in Taiwan.

1) subway commuters always keep right when riding the escalators, thereby allowing those in a rush to move smoothly down the left side. Failure to do so will earn u stares and even scoldings from other people!
2) there's actually a queue for the train door lol. And those waiting to board will actually give way to those alighting ;)
3) there's no semblance of traffic control there. Nearly got knocked down by a lorry lolz.
4) you have to pay for your own plastic bag, which was what I realised when the cashier promptly moved on to the next customer after I paid for my stuff at 7-11. I was thus left standing with many odds and ends that couldn't possibly fit onto my hands =S
5) the girls are totally into jap fashion.

Later in the afternoon I met mf yh tj and some other mutual acquaintances and we went swensens to chow down. Had quite a decent meal before we proceeded to lan. Played 3 games and muahhaha as usual yc lost all his games. Lolz more teamwork pls!
Later at night we met up with hf, glendon and daniel and ps to catch the fireworks. We got quite a good view somewhere at the grass patch beside the esplanade. The fireworks was not bad, but it was the finale that got our jaws dropping. The entire sky was lit up for a few seconds in a magnificent display of lights and sounds. Mm not bad.

And once again, I miss the days eating prata and milo dinosaurs with my pals at the malay cafe after chem remedial.

Friday, July 21, 2006

Ah, this is the night where the NSF goes to Taiwan. And I'll miss NDP '06! And not to mention all my friends and family haha. Well all the best to those who are going to uni! =) See ya all on the 12th of aug!

Saturday, July 01, 2006

I can't believe I actually managed to fall sick during the weekend leave. That means missing live firing on Sunday, but I doubt it's highly important cos all live firings are so staged. But still it doesn't feel good puking everything that goes into me. Haha it definitely has to be the fiery thai dinner I had yest with jk and yc. I think my falling sick had more to do with my lack of acclimatization to belachan than to the ill-preparation of food haha. Haha guess the only consolation I have is that I get to book in one day later. XD

Sunday, June 25, 2006

Haha another uneventful week has ended, bringing me one week closer to ORD! Lolz. It makes me happy thinking that there'll be a bbq coming up,and I'll definitely try my best to attend it haha. We haven't had a real class gathering in a long time! Oh and here's a story that I picked up from the net. Touching..heh.

[[Sending Mum to the old folks]]

Please read & think.

Daughter-In-Law to her husband's mum. "When I cook food which are bland, you will grumble that they are tasteless. Now that I have added more salt, you complained that you can't swallow this at all! What exactly do you want?"

When the son came back, the mother immediately ate the food without a word. She stared at him.

The son took a bit of his mother's food and spitted it out immediately. He ranted at his wife," Didn't I tell you that my mother cannot take too much salty food?!"

The wife shouted,"OK! She's your mum! You cook for her in future!"

After saying that, she stormed into their room angrily. Feeling helpless, the son told the mother,"Mum, don't eat this anymore. I will cook you a bowl of noodles."

The mother said,"Son, you have something to tell me? Don't keep everything to yourself."

Son:"Mum, I am going to get promoted soon and my upcoming working schedule will be very, very tight...and as for my wife...ummm...she said she will be going out to work...."

The mother understood what he meant and said in a begging manner,"Son, please don't send me to the Old Folks' Home.."

The son remained silent and tried to think of a good reason to persuade her mother.

Then he said," There is nothing wrong with the Old Folks' Home.

Once my wife had went out to work, no one will serve you as well
as the Home which provides you meals and care. It would definitely much better than being at home."

The son went for a bath after that and went into the Study Room. He looked out from the windows and thought back and hesitated a while....

His mother has been remaining as a widow since she was young with him, and brought him up painstakingly,
solely.

She tried all means to earn as much as she could, in order to support him in studying overseas. Yet she expected nothing nor used her past painful experience to threaten his son to be filial.

While now, his wife is threatening him with the stake of their marriage.

"Should I send my Mum to the Home?" He asked himself.

"The only person who will accompany you till the end of your life would be your wife...¡± said a friend before.

"Your mother is in old age now, and if she's lucky, she might be able to live for a few more years longer. Why not be f!
ilial to
her for this period of time? Reminded by some relatives.

He was stuck in a dilemma. He did not want to think anymore, in order not to affect his decision.

The son found a Home with high standards, built on a beautiful and tranquil mountain top. He told himself that he would feel much better when the more he spent.

When the son helped his mother into the lobby of the Home, the 42" TV was turned on. The program shown on screen was a comedy. But no one was laughing.

A few old folks, dressed similarly in clothing, were sitting there, in a daze. There was one who was sitting improperly on a sofa, there was one who was bending down to pick up a piece of biscuit from the floor, there was one who was talking to himself...

The son knew that his mother likes sunlight, so he chose a room with ample sun rays shining into the room. By viewing out from the room, was a big piece of greenery scene. Few nurses were wheeling some old folks out for some fresh air.

It was so pathetic of silence in the background. The sun would still need to set down.

Soon it was dusk.

The son told the mother, "Mum, I am leaving."

The mother waved to him to say goodbye, opening her toothless mouth..

He turned back to look at his mother. She was full of grey hair and wrinkled skin with deep set eyes...

He found that she was really old.

He remembered when he was six, due to some circumstances, his mother cannot bring him along with her thus temporarily placed him at a relative's home for few days. He recalled hugging his mother's thigh and begged her not to leave him alone. In the end, his mother never leaves him alone and decides to stay with him.

He stopped thinking and left.

When he returned home, his wife and his mother-in-law were busy discarding things from his mother's room, happily.

One of the discarded items was his tall trophy which he won as First Prize when he was young. He wrote an essay on "MY MOTHER".

The second item discarded was a dictionary. That was the first gift from his mother, who scrimped and saved for a month in order to buy for him.

He shouted, "Enough! Stop discarding anymore!"

His mother-in-law cried," There were so much rubbish. If don't discard, there would not be any place for my stuff.."

His wife continued, "Yeah! Need to dump away that old, stinky bed of your mum too. We will buy a new bed for my mum later,"

He saw some pictures from the stack...they were taken at a zoo and amusement park when his mother brought him there.

"These are precious belongings of my Mum! You can't discard them!"

"What sort of attitude is this? I demand you to apologise to my Mum NOW!" ranted the wife.

The husband said," When I got married with you, that showed that I will love your Mum too. But why can't you do the same too?"

He went back to the Home and saw his mother weeping in between her frail legs. She was missing the moments when her son would apply ointment for her every night...

The son kneeled before her and said,¡± Mum, here I come. I brought the ointment
too."

The mother said," I will apply it myself, Son! You still need to work tomorrow. Go home, Son!"

Son said,Mum, please forgive me! Let's go home!"

Hope this is inspirational and touching to you. Without our parents, we won't be here.

No parents will resort to harm their own children. They only want the benefits for them.

For Daughters & Sons: Please remember to return gratitude to your dads and mums.

And before you know it, the off in lieu is almost over! Yeah but I can't deny that I had spent a very enjoyable time with my friends, from the dinners to the games played at the arcade. Evaluation? Pepper lunch's overpriced while the dim sum buffet's not bad! But it's better to go on weekdays cos it's cheaper heh. =)

Sunday, June 04, 2006

Haha..the feeling of being confined for training next weekend totally sucks. I wonder if it's writer's block or what, but I'm losing the inspiration to write. Nothing interesting comes to mind of late, so I'll just write about the lack of stuff to write. Lolz. Shall be back on the 15th of June though! See ya all then! =)

Thursday, June 01, 2006

Hoho here I come...39th ASLC! XD

Oh and to those who'll be enrolling in the universities soon...all the best!!
Ah haven blogged in a very long time! Haha actually today we were supposed to go blading but we went to play badminton in the end. Gosh! Tj is seriously abusive when it comes to that sport. 2 poor shuttlecocks were smashed into bits by his smashes lo. But nonetheless we had fun playing. Ah and Over the Hedge is damn nice man..animals with tan line?? naked turtle?? rofl...and as always there's a nice good ending to all animated films! Which leaves us with a pleasant feeling after the movie XD
This few days were short but great. I spent a lot of time with my friends and family though in 1 to 2 years time many things will change. But we should always hope for the best though!

Sunday, May 14, 2006

Ah haha why do long weekends always end so fast? Why? Haha but I do cherish n enjoy the company of my good old classmates man.And memories of crepes and burgers. lolz. And of course, if we enjoy ourselves, the length of the break is inconsequential! Looking forward to the next weekend again. =)

Monday, May 01, 2006

Ah yesterday was a very eventful day. After a sleepy start to the day with the law essay, the afternoon lunch and swim was really refreshing! Haven't been to jurong swimming complex in a long time man, and that was the first time I tried the slides haha. Not bad though it tended to disorientate people badly haha. Haha and after that the 4 of us left went to take a stroll at jurong gardens. Very peaceful and tranquil place. One of the best outings man. And 7B still has managed to keep the record of having at least an outing every weekend! Something to be proud of XD.

zz..zz

Ah the end of yet another gruelling week, with yet another more gruelling one in sight! Haha the past week was fantastic man. We proned on forest litter for 2 hours while being drenched by the thunderstorm above. As if that wasn't enough, swarms of mosquitoes and sandflies clamor for your warm flesh. I can still hear the buzz in my ears man. Sheesh.
Haha and this week it's back to tekong again. Ah, I miss tekong dust.-_-. But election week means a day off. lolz.

Hmmz what if one day I'm erased from tangible existence?Lolz food for thought.

One more week to long weekend XD

Many things will happen next week. Events that will determine my future? Haha but I guess my performance during the interview will have been decided way before I even step inside the room. It's something innate I guess, the factor that the interviewers are looking for, and preparation can only help that much. Haha in anycase I can always fall back on the engineering courses ;)

Ah next week. Back to the same old grind again, trudging down the same rocky path and proning on thorny mimosas again lol. But we have nights off and of course, the mayday leave! Which means more chances to hang out with my old pals. I am beginning to realise the meaning of earning your keep man. Haha..

Oh btw Mirrormask is a really nice show. I heard people saying the plot's shallow and predictable, but I guess there's something to it in its simplicity. The beauty of the show laid in how the artistry, the weird camera angles and the seamless melding of fantasy and reality combined together to form a tale of a daughter's love for her mother. Been watching very unique shows nowadays lol.

And last of all, best of luck to those who have interviews n essay tests! =)

People

Ah, it definitely feels good to be back in the civilian world, even for a mere 72 hours. I treasure many of life's simple pleasures now, and appreciate my friends more ( not that I don't in the first place lol). Haha and today's attendence for our weekly 7B gatherings:4 . Not that bad la, considering most pple are in ns or busy with jobs and such. We went to catch this really weird but humorous show( keeping mum) about this mother who uses questionable tactics to ensure her daughter leads a comfortable life. But the dinner sucked man. Swensen really has to do something to overhaul it's menu and provide more value for money food. Haha but not bad la, the 4 of us had a lot to talk abt, and every minute was well spent. As to how I'll spend tmr, I really don't know man. These days the only people who are free are the fellow nsfs lol, but nvm la, it's good to be a civilian! =D

Thursday, March 16, 2006

Ah..we went cycling round the eastern side of singapore! The events that happened during cycling were definitely more interesting than the trip itself. Yinoob and his punctured tyre--Ok it's usual to punctre a tyre during such long trips, but the fact that Yc managed to do so was seriously hilarious. And how someone managed to break the brake handle, how someone always jumps out of the bike before a crash even happens, and how someone didn't know about gears and tried to ascend a slope on the smallest gear -_-. We also had some relaxing time at the Bedok jetty with 50kph winds blowing into our faces. cool.

The old feelings started coming back today, and I indulged in a bit of wistful thinking. However, be it a temporary resurgence or not, I'll have to abandon those thoughts. It's really not the sort of life I want to live. Time to move on, however much I hope those thoughts may one day materialise.

Haha btw that's the one and only Viper PL1 Section 4! And our 2 sergeants at the bottom haha.. =) Posted by Picasa

It's going to be over man. I know that I will miss bmt, all the friends that I've made while going through everything but for now, it's time to relax!Thankfully I didn't get guard duty so I prob have 10 full days to relax. Very short but I'm thankful for it ;). Yeah shall really look forward to it...2 more days to being a private! lolz

GIVE ME A HOO HA SOLDIER!

Yes man. Today was the day. The day when we did SOC and 16km route march, with the last 4km being a fast march. The smiles on our sweaty dusty faces and the way we sang the hentak kaki song at the end of the march just about summed up everything in BMT-- PLatoon spirit. The way we pushed each other on, the way we sang, the way we marched, all these make up for an indelible experience. As our PC said, we are ready to pass out and become soldiers, from the way we marched and sang on the route march. That's the way man. XD

XD

Oh man 3 more days to the release of the A level results. Though I have this sense of foreboding in me I do hope I do just well enough to get into uni man. Haha the nervousness will only set in when we queue up to get our results slip ><. The anticipation..oh man stress time again. Haha I'm not really looking forward to getting the results but am looking forward more to the meeting with my old classmates! Go curry wok to have lunch and reminisce about the old days. Time really flies man. Only one more week to passing out, then god knows where i'll be posted to. Haha but whatever it is, what's important is that we keep in touch and meet up as often as our schedules permit!

Shall start wondering what to do during the block leave. XD

Saturday, February 18, 2006

Oh man. I'm back again. haha today's class dinner rocked. Just sat down at marche and talked the night away. It's nice to have a get together every now and then to catch up on all the stuff n to see each other again. Haha hope to see the others next week!

Tuesdays with SS

One more day and it's back to the grind. And no I am definitely not looking forward to it. But it's a duty and I'm definitely not going to shirk it off. Whenever any of you feel like giving up, remember this : people may praise you and be amazed at how you manage to chao geng, but deep down do u think they'll respect you? It's only two years man. Might as well go in and take oppurtunity of the time to transform oneself into a better person, mentally and physically.

Heh the new blog layout is really fitting and a tadnostaligic. Usually I don't think twice about the words in the background on other blog layouts but this one caught my attention.
"Cause we're moving on and we can't slow down.
These memories are playing like a film without sound. People always say try not to live in the past; happiness should be your state of mind.
But there will be times when you get really sick;
And you'll wish you could just....press rewind"

Sunday, January 29, 2006

Oh man, it's been a month since I last blogged! I wonder if anyone still accesses my blog. Fell victim to the Tekong ailment for the past week but we can't really blame the army. Airing dirty clothes in the bunk doesn't really help the situation haha. But it's good that I've more or less recovered so I can go field camp without feeling half dead.

I've also made another observation this week that the class spirit is flagging. Maybe in my state of drug induced drowsiness I observed wrongly but there's no mistaking the lack in class outings. Ok we haven't degenerated to the stage where class outings are merely meetings to update contact numbers or to exchange pleasantries but it's slowly getting there. Halt! I'm not getting pessimistic here haha. Our individual friendships are still strong. It's like a curve. When we are used to seeing each other frequently, like maybe fortnightly or even weekly, we do not feel that anything is lacking, and that is why there's not much to be talked about. However, when everyone starts become committed to their work, language classes, driving classes etc, the distance between people increases. That is precisely what causes future class gatherings to be more rowdy as people readily remisnisce on the teachers, and how much each of us have changed as a person, whether in terms of looks or personality. We'll climb out of this trough soon enough man ;). Take care everyone!

Saturday, December 24, 2005

Lol must say dawn's party really rocked. More food than we can ever imagine! lol wonder what happened to the other half of the turkey. Shall be back real soon man to post sth longer. haha merry christmas pple!! =)

The rofl lmao omg tag game! =D

Haha ok I find this game pretty interesting and weird at the same time but it's the hols! So here goes. First the rules!

Rules:
1. Post 5 weird/random stuff about yourself.
2. At the end, list the names of 5 people whom you want next to do this, and leave a comment "YOU ARE TAGGED!" in their blog and tell them to read your blog for rules.

Ok 5 random/weird stuff about myself. Hmm that shall take some time man.

1) I hate braggers and people who are racist. Look at the recent riots in Sydney. Hitting innocent people GTA style for no apparaent reason other than because they are black/white. -_-. Oh and people who brag--- I would definitely love to gunnysack them ;)( BTW, to gunnysack someone is to put a gunnysack over the bragger/victim and pummel him) XD

2) Eh is sleeping at 4 plus everyday weird? Haha I don't really know when that habit emerged but I'm most active from 1am onwards. I'm sharper, more active and generally more alert than I am at night than during the day. Haha must curb it soon for health reasons! I know there are other nocturnal creatures out there too haha. Maybe can form some midnite club or something.

3) Haha I'm a quiet person except in the company of those I know well.

4) I've a little bald patch on my head! Lol happened when my mother whacked my head when I was small. After the wound healed the hair never grew back. Haha the hair covers the patch quite well eh.

5) I can canoe. And I like free stuff. Software, FOOD...lolz.

mmmz Five (un)lucky winners!: Yichao, Huangfang, Xiuzhen, Alvin Soon, ????

Tuesdays with SS

Haha sounds like some blatant plagiarism off a book. BUT wait! This is an entirely original series conjured by me in my free time. Just a collection of my thoughts haha. I'll try to publish it weekly,if time permits. Omg it may be boring haha. Quit reading if u have more important stuff to do lol. Here it goes! The inaugural edition:

On relationshipships:

After a guy and a girl reaches that phase in a relationship known as the boyfriend-girlfriend phase, what are the factors that account for the continuation of this phase? Perhaps it would be easier to understand this issue better if we delve into the initial stage first, that is, What causes a guy to fall for a girl, or vice versa?

Biological causes such as pheromones asides, other psychological factors also play a very important role. These include the initial feel-good factor, for example when a guy happens to meet an attractive young lady. He'll want to befriend her, to get to know her better and if they hit it off, they will eventually proceed to the bf-gf phase, assuming that the feelings are mutual. Relationships may also develop from the friendship phase. It's something that just happens spontaneously, imho. Two friends may have a deep interest in a sport, for example, and feelings for each other may develop after partaking in the sport. Relationships may even develop due to the fact that 2 people can talk about anything under the sun and yet not fail to entertain the other.

The last factor should be the most important factor in determining the continuity of the relationship, whether in ten weeks, 2 years or 30 years down the road. It is something which I believe deeply in. Picture this: You meet this person, and immediately via some quirks of the mind, a conversation topic springs to mind, and for the next ten minutes the two of you happily chat over that topic. The mutual understanding between the two deepens and who knows, a relationship may just form.( of the bfgf kind ;) )

Or rather, it's the presence of a kindred spirit, as someone put it to me last time. The someone who will always understand you, who will be there for you most of the time except when you prefer to be alone. It's not enough to try to be there for someone. There must be some actual bonding with the other person, to understand not on a superficial what he/she is feeling. It's something abstract, but I'm sure readers out there will know what it is about.

Lol Prom. What else can i say? The guys and gals all dressed in their best. Couldn't recognise some girls even. Our class girls def. rock man. haha. Ran into Alvin after that and there was sort of an emotional farewell. Haha bit of exaggeration there but I haven't seen him since ages ago. All the best in NS man.

Haha discounting all those that occured before the clubbing experience, I would say chatting at swensen's at 3am was certainly very interesting. Hope there will be more events like this man. XD I'm really starting to miss those times just sitting in the room and talking about anything and everything. haha. Gogo 7b!

Sunday, December 04, 2005

Haha I haven't blogged in a long while, what with the old harddisk giving way a few days ago and took me sometime to figure out how to fix it haha. Well it couldn't be fixed so had to make do with a new one haha.
Had one of the best class outings today! At least in terms of attendence haha. We had a massive entourage that stretched the length of quite a couple of shophouses! XD Yeah then we had a good time eating fishhead curry and chicken and fish cutlet at this Indian restaurant. We even managed to have a little tour of little india lol. Such things just do not come by daily. Yeah let's have another interesting outing and I'll be content =).
Haha I also had the chance to sit with them today and gosh it was really an eye opener. What a fun loving group of people lol. Falling into a bush? hahahaha. And glen's story abt the para para guy is seriously funny. Ming rocks at para para too. Surprising huh. hahaaha encore!

Hmm next week shall herald many firsts for some of us. Let's stay healthy man. lolz.

Saturday, November 26, 2005

With the passing of a routine, another routine begins to set in, one that involves perusing the computer for up to 8 hours a day, indulging in the excess of time. Nothing bad about it though, it's really exciting to indulge in games haha.

What is one to do when someone faced with a less than hopeful prognosis decides to give up? Talk sense into her? But it's not even a trivial matter, and words can't and do not really alleviate the situation. It's also easy for the person to say but he's not even in her shoes. Pray for the best i think. Hmmmm.

Thursday, November 24, 2005

hahaha..it's over! But strangely I do not feel a thing. Maybe the ebullience or elation will set in a few days later when the first thing to do when I wake up isn't studying haha. Well things are going to be different from today onwards haha. For one we aren't gonna meet everyday at the class bench anymore, perhaps we should have fortnightly gatherings from now on? Hahah just to keep the spirit of 7B burning!
Harry Potter was slightly a bore haha, nearly fell asleep. The whole show resembled a narrative, with hardly any climaxes. Haha but still the acting and the special effects deserved some merit. And it could have been better if not for some loud and boisterous fags from VJC. Haha some people just can't STFU, can they?

Monday, November 21, 2005

Lol seriously, can play till I get a headache. The weather's great now, just like that of a temperate country. Now why can't things be like that all year round? Haha anyone thinking of setting up an anti guomei mei club? XD

Saturday, November 19, 2005

No. I don't want to sleep. Because sleeping means waking up and having to hit the books again. Because waking up to a new day means a loss of freedom. It's my time now. XD

Wah lau doing chem mcq is really sian. Seriously is A levels all about doing and doing tys questions until you can answer the questions without even batting an eyelid? What's the meaning of the certificate then besides a proclamation to the world that u've mastered the tys questions? -_-||.

And that's pretty much a summation of the past week. This blog isn't dead haha, altho it isn't alive in a sense. lol the changes of enthalpy and bonding and structures are debilitating on the senses.

WoW. The CHS library still rocks!

Saturday, October 15, 2005

HAha a wave of melancholy washed over me just now. Hard to accept the fact that school's officially over and another phase of life is starting soon. This feeling is not like primary school, where we don't really mind leaving familiar faces to start lives anew in another school. Even in CHS, I just greeted graduation with nonchalance. There just wasn't anything significant to tie me back. But I feel it's different now. Maybe it's because we aren't so childish and immature anymore and are starting to appreciate the ties that bind. Those friendships of 2 years are gonna last man, even when we go our separate ways to pursue our goals. Surely our paths will meet one day, and although people change and situations change, one thing will never change. We'll always be part of the great class that's 7B! Cheers.

Lol a dual core Pentium D costs SGD$1000 just for the processor alone! Wow that's abt the cost of a good computer. Haha no choice but to wait till NS then get money to upgrade this rig. But it's better than having error messages pop up every now and then! Can surf can alr. (no offense to Daryl and irene though haha). Hmm there are many basic things to keep ur comp in good health. Download a good firewall, antivirus and ctrl alt del regularly to see if any rogue programs are present. Download harddisk junk file cleaners and registry cleaners to clear up those resident junk. Haha and oh defrag regularly. It helps! Check for spyware too.

Haha thanks, to whoever it may concern (Chance?God?) for making me part of 04s7b..for all the friends I've made, for all the joyful times that we had together haha. Class chalets rocks. Enduring all the scoldings by teachers together rox. Jia you everyone for the As and the prelims man. We can do it! To pple like kl who put in so much hard work, I'm very sure you'll make it. To my late night dota mate PS u too man. You study even longer than the people running the CC lor haha. To glen, eugene..don't care about your grades in the past and just work towards the future haha. To the rest who are doing fine just keep it up! ;)

Saturday, August 27, 2005

Hmm what's there to do now? Haha had some kickass fun today, jacking the PA system in the audi and blasting music. Apologies to the stranger who had to leave though. Haha a fitting way to end school. Well maybe there'll be a chance one day to jack the PA system for the entire school ^_^. Now wouldn't that be quite a way to end JC? Yea gogo Bandoffailures man.. haha it's not a very wonderful sight seeing other people fill in forms for overseas education and here we are struggling to pass subjects. Lol there'll be a better tmr though, must believe in that hahaha. XD.. But there's really something that must be fixed. The food in hcjc just isn't fit for comsumption man. The stomach upset can testify to that lol.

The thoughts of One.

What does one do when one is bored from work? One thinks. To be more precise, one lies down on the bed and think. The ceiling comes into view, but so do the people that once have had an impact on, or is still part of one's life. Gaiety in the company of friends, sadness in the company of family, hope in the expectations of life... One's feelings run the gamut. Each of life's experiences is fleeting, just like the taillights of an airplane floating lazily across the inky darkness. They are there, yet gone the very next moment, leaving only an impression...on the ceiling.

XD

Haha today was a most eventful day, certainly one of the few veyr packed 24 hours in my life haha, considering the amount of time I spend at the computer. -_-. Well haha after a virtually stoned morning in school, we went to watch seven swords while the gals went to see charlie in action haha. Here's my take on 7 swords. Don't watch unless u saw the comic! Haha cos the uninitiated will feel that many parts are left empty and insufficiently fleshed out. BUT the highlight was trashing Chaos™ three times in a row! Lol yichao quit dota la hahaha...ur reign is over hahaha. Haha don't feel loaquacious at all tonight, maybe I'll post more tmr. In the meantime, "Happy national day!". XD

Saturday, July 30, 2005

This has been an rather eventful week haha. Didn't know that I had an esophagal ailment till today after a visit to the hospital. So it turned out that the doctor diagnosed wrongly on the first time. Sore throat! Haha sore gullet more likely. But I sure hope the medicine helps though haha. Ouch.

Sunday, July 24, 2005

Hmm was reading my friend's post about classmates "flying off" to various places in life and never seeing them again, except for the occasional cursory smile and conversation. Haha well such things happen as some will troop off overseas to study while others will find new friends in local varsities. But I certainly hope the class will still stay in touch even after 10,20 years down the road. Sure we'll have our committments, but just think about the person who once talked and joked alongside with you. 10 years pact? Haha do the other 2 still rmb? Yea some introspection on a Sunday night shall nicely round off this week ;)

Whoa finally the week is over. Hmm not much to talk about, just that i came across an article today about the Busan world sailing championships. Haha turned out that Dawn's currently 7th placed among the girl's competition. Yea and that's in a world competition. Haha all the best! HAve a nice weekend dudes. =)

Class Dinner!

Hmm yea had a fun time studying after school with cf,xz,ps,jk,kailing, today haha. I think I was the slowest though, sleeping for 30 mins while the rest plodded through math. Then i was afflicted with this terrible headache when i wokeup, nothing short of a hangover haha. But the dinner after that was great. That kind of brought back memories of the days long gone, those days back in J1 where we had regular class dinners at Prince. Haha but this one was quite cool too and we had a nice chat. Yup there'll be more to come. More things to remember hc by besides the teachers >.< and such. =)

the class chalet.. (is on the table)

Whoa the 3 days of the class chalet really ended in a flash. Somehow a part of me hoped it would last longer, what with the relaxed atmosphere and the numerous adventures XD that we embarked on. And of course, who could forget the Book being on the table? Yea maybe I should give a blow by blow account of the chalet but that would really be too soporific..let's try the highlights haha, or rather anything that comes to my mind now.

Ok this time the chalet was at Aloha Loyang and we were like where the is it..when we first heard it. But it turned out to be actually quite far from Downtown East as to make walking there a half an hour affair. After some initial exploration we sat down to watch Troy. Haha the show was not bad especially the fight scenes. Not much was done on Sunday cos we ended up getting there pretty late due to the late and (almost) irregular shuttle. Haha but the one defining event of Sunday was the overnight lan session at Dhoby Ghaut. It was a trip of no return, well before the next train at 5.30 that is haha. Not bad though, we managed to find this shop that was relatively empty and ended playing only 2 games. Haha we wrapped up at 4 plus and ended crusing around orchard. Turns out SCDf was using cineleisure as a training area so couldn't play pool over there. But yeah it's really an unforgettable experience..eating instant noodles at 4.30 in orchard haha.
The next night was the BBQ night. It was quite ok with the standard fare and all. Haha glendon eugene ps and a few others were braving hot ashes in order to stoke the fire. Good job anyway haha and that's y we got some decent cooked food to eat. Must thank Audrey for bringing those noodles too. Heh sasuages alone won't fill up one's stomach. Haha that night we went night cycling. OK it started well enough, and spirits were high when we decided to cycle to changi airport. But what the! after cycling for so long down this deserted stretch of road beside the runway, we ended up at a slip road leading to the expressway and couldn't continue cos it's dangerous and illegal to do so. Haha so it's back down the road which must have been at least 10 km. Not bad, kl's vocals broke the silence for a while. It was nice experience; after all when do u get to cycle in such a large group of pple at 3 plus 4 am in such a deserted place. Would really like to try it again.
Yea there were somethings that made this chalet quite unforgettable, like those overnight events that for once broke the usual boring circadian rhytm that everyone keeps. Something fun, something different, like playing cluedo and mistaking some banana scrap for the rope. Yea it's in one's youth that one gets to do such stuff. We should treasure such times man. =)

Hi people, I have a good news for you
The MP4 have a new music, it look like the table so... HaHaHa he is a little bit different

My thoughts pass away with the coming sea.
All the faces around it was a wisdom for me.
Follow my proclamation for a new experience of life.
Don't be afraid, we now start to dive.
For the liquid child, for a labyrinth of time, so open up your eyes and realise my sign.
Come with me to the different places, and be a part of diving faces.

Ice Skating dudes/dudesses

Haha today we had quite a memorable day at the ice skating rink in JEC. At first I was still mulling over I should go and that caused me to turn up at 3pm. haha the first greeting I got was huangfang and daniel ramming into the plastic screen that separated the audience from the skaters (or soon to be skaters but still not quite there yet). Haha the journey starts after collecting the skating boots. It was quite hard to walk on those thin metal blades but one gets used to it after a while. Haha it's quite intimidating to see so many skaters zipping past you while you are still a newbie negotiating the bends using the rails. "Position your legs in a V!" "Slide right and left" came the instructions from the more experienced but gosh I still ended up waddling like a duck. Haha jk ps let's all join the waddle club. Yea! It's fun skating and we should all do so as a group next time. In the meantime, study hard for the tests man. :S

"holiday" editioN!

haha it's been real long since I last blogged, not because of a lack of time but because I spend too much time on games seriously. Whether it's after cca or after I wake up, the next destination is to the computer to play dota. Haiz I also received quite a jolt on reading about some super multitasking teenagers who work harder than adults ( try studying and doing ur stuff till 2 and waking up at 5). Hey! That's their life while I have my own life and I'm contented to spend it my way, relaxing on the bed with a book and some nice music, not hustling around till the sun sets. Haha here are Singapore's future alpha males and females! Lol what's with the resurgence in dota man.. the competition? The rules are ridiculous..

Haha and there'll be a class outing to some ice skating rink in Jurong this sat. Well asides from the fact that it's like on the other side of singapore, I don't really relish the thought of going there to fall on ice ( hey, when was ice that threatening?) or watch pple skate like olympic pros while you struggle to even move an inch. Crawling counted? Lol what a spectacle..

The nus shoot was quite a disappointment but nvm, what's important is the experience! XD

Read Me

Sigh, I just hope that blogger will not screw up again and place this post either on 05s7b's or 04s7b's blog, or worse, lose it. Phew, this week's finally over. So many things and close brushes have occured this week that I'm totally thankful for this day, when I can finally relax. Well, why does the school has to deploy so much manpower to monitor and book students for latecoming? Aren't there any other problems worth checking, such as the toliets being in a 3rd world state, the collapsing ceiling of the air rifle range and people who actually have tongue studs in the school. CCA doesn't really stop until after the 2nd block tests ( argh I hate that word x 1000)and there really doesn't seem any point in attending lessons anymore; essentially everything's down to self study. I need a break, not necessarily a long one, just a calm, peaceful one without hearing the sleep inducing drawl of the lecturers. Maybe Foo's formula is right, injecting personal anecdotes into lectures does seem to be the way to capture student's attention. Then there's also the issue of people. People who just can't realise that they are eighteen and that it's time to be one. Well, maybe a balance of personalities is always needed, guess I need to steer clear of such people ( I'm fortunate they aren't from 7b).

Happy Vesak Day to all Buddhists!

Congrats!

Firstly, warmest congratulations to all the groups that received gold accolades at this year's SYF! Well done guitar and harmoc! Haha I'm certain there will be others to come ;). Come to think of it, I think that people in large CCAs such as orchestras are quite blessed. To be able to experience as a group joy at winning a competition can be really exhilirating, as you know that it is not only you who have won but your teammates, people with whom you have went home late with, with whom you have spent countless hours rehearsing with. What's more, the group celebratory dinner that follows just sums up the great day...Haha compare this to the 10 or so people in ARC. But never mind, give us a large enough table i'm sure the jokes and talk will flow! Or I guess it's the music that prompts one to be more exuberant than usual haha. I'm listening to the urban lounge now on 91.3fm and it's pretty cool. haha go listen if u have the time to spare...it's located at www.wkrz913.com.sg. Good luck to other groups in the oncoming days!!

Haha why am I still blogging? I should be asleep! Yea but it happens. So i'm here, therefore I am. That was in *subtle* reference to the poem in the guy's toliet btw ^_^.. Haha anyway I shall tell u guys more abt my air pistolcompetition at CDANS on sunday. OK well cdans' located at Bukit Gombak (heh can see some head scratchers) which is only one and a half hour from my house...ok that's besides the point. haha I shot 493/600, far from those ridiculous scores that were announced recently. Suffice to say, none of the team got into the finals save for one in the air pistol girls. haha well there's still the nationals!
Block test? Yea mental blocks predominate. Hmm once again I got O for..mmm..chem physics bio...but a C for math? haha so i'm COOO huh..hahaha...zzz...Needa improve more in the coming days man..

Random (well not so.. ) thoughts

One only realises some principles of life, however subtle, when he or she reaches a certain age, old enough to "see" things. These principles aren't necessarily the ones that we were told to follow and believe in when we were young, but rather they are the alternative type that are part and parcel of life whether we like it or not. Haha this entry isn't meant to offend anyone though.. =)

Principle 1: Life's unfair. Haha this probably doesn't come across as new for some of you, but to me it has become somewhat entrenched. There are people who didn't do much for something, but yet score higher than those who at least put in effort to complete, nevermind the quality. Then there's the allrandom mode in some games that's biased towards a certain side. Sigh life's probably a series of chances, and how well we study or the choices we make only serve to increase the chances of our accomplishing our particular goal.

Principle 2: There's a certain class of people known as the KB type. Well haha what's KB? It's some lingo haha..that's all. Mm i don't really want to delve into the episode which elicted this view but let's just say not everyone that we meet have genial and friendly dispositions. Whether this is due to genetic variation or upbringing (or lack thereof) I can't be sure but if you happen to come across such people...RUN!

Haha the darn registration took me 1 hr and still there are certain elements left incomplete, like my printer suddenly refusing to use black ink to print and instead uses grey mixed with white. Rofl! Darn those printing companies..charging below cost for a printer while jacking up the price for print cartridges haha. Yup but have to admit that's a good tactic. Hmm the air rifle competition's coming soon, must train harder and harder alr. Too bad the school doesn't have enough money to buy better guns for us, letting other schools have a advantage over us. But heck nothing can beat skilL! Yep shall work very hard on it. Rock on!
Hmm what the...somehow my entry got lost in the labyrith(did i get this right?) of blogger's servers. Wah lau spent so much time typing it then got lost. Sigh...still gotta fill in some pre-enlistment form that took someone 2 hours. What's with the internetisation of everything that has to do with the gov? haha it's now e this e that... mmm gotta go do the form...brb!

imssm..

Hello! I just wanna convey my heartfelt thanks to everyone who in some form or another wished me a happy birthday...well I am having one right now so thanks! ^_^ haha.. I guess it'll be harder to receive gifts in the coming years ( imagine ur birthday falling on ns training days) :S so better relish in the moment haha... Yup there are many distractions from dota lying on my table now... mm haha maybe they will make me play less.. yup hope that everyone has a nice day!
